The Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA) has issued a public apology to fans following the national team’s 2-0 defeat to Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Recall that the Super Eagles’ victory came courtesy of Victor Osimhen’s first-half brace at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.

FERWAFA acknowledged issues with fans being unable to access the stadium despite having tickets.

In a statement, the association apologized and offered compensation, stating that tickets priced at 1,000 RWF and 2,000 RWF would be valid for the next match against Lesotho on March 25, 2025.

Also, all other unused ticket categories from the Nigeria match would also remain valid for the upcoming game.
