The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, submitted the estimated N2.2 trillion 2024 budget to the state House of Assembly for approval on Wednesday.
Presenting the appropriation bill with the caption “Budget of Renewal,” at the Assembly Complex in Alausa, Ikeja, Sanwo-Olu stated that N1.22 trillion would be allocated for capital expenditures and N1.02 trillion for recurrent spending by the government in the upcoming year.
He added that the budget would further mitigate the effects of the removal of fuel subsidies and other economic hardships in the state.
The governor emphasized that his administration’s T.H.E.M.E.+ Agenda guided the budget-making process.
