The Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday narrowly escaped death after his convoy was involved in an auto-crash.
One of the drivers attached to his convoy who was identified as Ramon Mustapha was said to have lost his life in the accident.
The accident reportedly happened when Makinde was on his way from a political engagement, in Saki town.
It was gathered that three other members of the convoy were also injured.
The deceased driver reportedly died on the spot as he was flung out after the “Zebra 4” vehicle he drove somersaulted severally.
Late Mustapha was buried at his Amuloko, Ibadan residence on Wednesday, in line with Islamic rites.
Governor Makinde has not made any official statement on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
