Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s ailing daughter, Sonia, has come out to publicly beg for a voluntary kidney donor in order to save her life.
Sonia, who is 25years old, revealed that she was diagnosed of the kidney disease, FSGS Nephrotic Syndrome, three years ago and the ailment has been draining her family financially and emotionally.
Recall that Sen. Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice were arrested by the British police on June 23 on allegations of human trafficking and organ harvesting that violates the country’s Modern Slavery Act. They have since been in custody and have been arraigned in court.
Sonia, in obvious desperation to stay alive, has come online to appeal for a compassionate donor, noting that her family members cannot give her because her doctor’s advise that it is a genetic illness that may return if her family donates to her.
