KadunaÂ
In a recent turn of events, a circulated clip led to misinformation reaching the APC National Chairman. The person in question, initially referred to as a senator from Kaduna, is, in fact, a senatorial aspirant, Hon. Usman Ibrahim (Sardaunan Badarawa). Clarifying the matter, it was emphasized that the individual switching parties is a loyalist of Uba Sani, not Senator Mr. LA.
Adding a layer of complexity, Hon. Usman Ibrahim Sardaunan Badarawa submitted a formal letter of resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The resignation, effective from December 13, 2023, cites consultation with party supporters from the entire Kaduna Central Senatorial District.
Truth Live News gathered that Senator LA swiftly addressed the defection rumors, firmly asserting his commitment to the PDP. He clarified that the defection was by the PDP aspirant who contested against him in both primaries and court proceedings. Despite efforts by top APC members, including a visit from APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and the Senate President, Senator LA remains resolute in his loyalty to the PDP.
Senator LA expressed confidence in the face of malicious stories, attributing them to known elements in the state. He urged his supporters not to be swayed by the rumors, emphasizing his unwavering stance as a PDP chieftain.
As the political landscape in Kaduna experiences a tremor, Senator LA’s commitment to the PDP stands tall, with the underlying narrative revealing intricate political maneuvering and the challenges faced by key figures in the region.
