Sheriff Oborevwori has been sworn-in as the new Delta State governor.
The governor, in his Inaugural speech, said it is a new dawn in the state adding that his administration would take the state to a greater height.
Oborevwori said that his government will foster economic growth, encourage small scale businesses to tackle youths restiveness and reduce crime in the state.
The newly sworn-in governor said his administration would embark on the ongoing projects of his predecessor to ensure that they are completed.
He said his government would partner other agencies to promote developments in Delta state because government alone cannot do it.
He lauded Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the immediate past governor of the state for surviving the COVID-19 pandemic and other negative tendencies that characterized his regime yet he was able to deliver on the dividends of democracy to Deltans.
He also commended the founding fathers of Delta State and his predecessors for working for the survival of Delta State.
