The Southern Governors Forum has commiserated with Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, over the demise of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Barebari.
In a statement signed by the Forum’s Chairman and Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, the Governors described the death as painful, despite her age.
The Forum noted that Hajiya Safara’u’s passing is heartbreaking, considering her significant role in training and nurturing her children, including Governor Radda.
They also acknowledged the symbolic nature of her transition during the holy month of Ramadan, when she was engaged in prayer, supplications, and acts of charity.
The statement reads: “The death of one’s mother, no matter the age, is always painful. Her love, kindness, devotion, and wise counsel cannot be replaced.”
The Forum commiserated with Governor Radda, his siblings, and the people of Katsina State, praying that Allah grants her Aljanat Fridaus.
