Senator John Owan Enoh, the Minister of Sports Development, has officially closed the 2nd National Para Games, announcing Bayelsa State as the champions with an impressive haul of 30 gold, 24 silver, and 20 bronze medals. Abia, Kano, Lagos, and Oyo secured the remaining top positions.
The Minister, represented by Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar, the Permanent Secretary overseeing the Federal Ministries of Sports and Youth Development, highlighted the Games’ impact, stating that they ushered in a new era of inclusivity, empowerment, and recognition. The athletes’ dedication and stellar performances showcased Para Sports excellence.
