Raheem Sterling will rejoin England’s squad in Qatar on Friday ahead of their quarter-final match against holders France.
Sterling flew last week to deal with the aftermath of a home invasion.
England confirmed that the 27-year-old would soon return to Qatar to join his teammates in preparation for Saturday’s match against world champions France at the Al Bayt Stadium.
A statement from the Three Lions revealed: “Raheem Sterling will return to England’s @FIFAWorldCup base in Qatar. The #ThreeLions forward temporarily left to attend to a family matter but is now expected to rejoin the squad in Al Wakrah tomorrow ahead of the quarter-final with France,” a tweet read.
