President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has established a committee tasked with determining the new minimum wage, aiming to alleviate the impact of subsidy removal.

Truth Live News understands that the committee comprises representatives from the Federal Government, the NLC (Nigeria Labour Congress), and top economists.

And in light of this development, Truth Live News can confirm that President Tinubu is prepared to raise the minimum wage now that fuel subsidy has gone into extinction.

The committee has been given a timeframe of 8 weeks to finalize their recommendations on the new minimum wage, which will subsequently undergo the President’s approval process.
