A group on the platform of The Osun Masterminds (TOM), has declared it readiness to support the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to reject the planned increase in telecommunications tariff.
The Executive Director of TOM, Wasiu Oyedokun-Alli, said this while speaking with journalists in the state.
He said they are poised to join the NLC in whatever step taken to reject the tariff hike.
Oyedokun-Alli said it is disheartening that at a time when Nigerians are battling with hardship in many areas of lives, the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has given approval to Telcos to hike tariff on telecoms services.
“We join our voice with the NLC and call for an immediate halt to these plans, and we will join hands with the Labour Congress to picket Telco offices nationwide if the planned hike stands,” Oyedokun-Alli.
