Uneasy calm reigns supreme in Hausa community in Aladja town, Udu Council Area of Delta State following the killing of an Aladja indigene landlord by a Hausa Tennant.
It was gathered that the youths of the community in a swift reaction lynched the Hausa tennant who attacked his unsuspecting landlord behind with a matchete.
The deceased landlord, an Aladja indigene on 20th November, 2024 was said to have had an issue with his tenant over payment of house rent on the popular College Road.
It was learnt that the tenant allegedly beheaded his unsuspecting landlord from behind.
Consequently, the irate residents of the community spared no time in lynching the suspect.
It was gathered that few Hausa born tenants in the community paid for the crime of their country man with their dear lives and the lucky ones were evicted from the community of Udu by angered indigenes.
It was further gathered that combined government security agents have been drafted to the area to avoid escalation of the crisis
Confirming the incident, the State image maker of the police, SP Bright Edafe, said that the Hausa born tenant was suspected to have carried out his action under the influence of hard drugs.
