Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has announced plans to double the company’s vehicle output in the US within the next two years.
This move is attributed to Musk’s confidence in America and President Trump’s policies, which he believes will boost Tesla’s production.
Musk made this statement while President Trump purchased a brand-new Tesla car, reportedly to support Musk amid allegations of a boycott by “radical left lunatics.”
Since Trump’s return to the White House in January, he has empowered Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), tasked with reducing federal government spending and headcounts.
To achieve this goal, Tesla would need to increase its current US production from approximately 700,000 units per year to 1.4 million units per year.
This would require significant investments in production capacity, potentially including the expansion of existing facilities or the development of new ones.
Some experts view this announcement as a reiteration of Tesla’s existing plans, rather than a new development.
Nevertheless, the move demonstrates Musk’s commitment to expanding Tesla’s presence in the US market.
