The northern governors are the heroes of President Tinubu mandate, who rejected vehemently the alleged preferred aspirant of President Buhari being pushed then by no less a person, the national chairman of the party Adamu Abdullahi, who wanted a northerner to succeed a northerner on the strength of majority votes from the north… This is the sad narrative being conversed by enemies of equity, fairness, and social justice in Edo state. Very sad, indeed.

The northern governors stood their grounds for equity, fairness, and social justice, not minding their numbers to make anyone president of the nation over and over again. They rejected the antics and wicked plans of the then national chairman and insisted that power must return to the southern part of the country for equity, fairness, and social justice sake, which democracy is built on…

The former governor of our beloved state Adams Oshiomhole was always on national television stations to converse support for equity, fairness and social justice that power return to the southern part of the country after eight years of a northern….. This is the least we expect from the APC leader Senator Adams Oshiomhole in Edo state and all other stakeholders of projected democracy…

APC in Edo state can’t afford to do opposite of what the northern governors in their nationalistic display in 2023, failure not to tow the line of these great minds from the north is to set the nation on fire and loose the basic sense of unity amongst the people, which Edo is a critical stakeholder of…

The former governor and now senator Oshiomhole must realize in life that what makes you a true leader is your ability to stand up for what is right at all times. And Mr. President, as the national leader of APC, must institutionalise the ” *Accord* ” of the northern governors whom in their wisdom, believe in giving opportunity to other Nigerians to be president of this great nation… The same is expected, from Edo South and Edo North, to do to the great people from Edo Central. Mr. President, who is the APC, leader and father of the nation, must jealously guide the ” *Accord* ” of the northern governors, which has come to stay. It has a huge role to continuously unite us as a people with common destiny…. This must happen to Edo Central in APC.

If what we hear and read on social media is correct that Edo North has been excluded from the process, the same should be done to Edo South, where the current governor comes from. The two aspirants screened by Prof Julius Ihonvbere Committee from Edo South should be asked to step aside to allow the Central to produce the candidate of the APC….. This will be the only way, the APC at the national level will be seen to have replicated the *Magnanimity* of the northern governors whom against all odds *Ceded* the presidency to the South for equity, fairness and social justice…. The world is watching the APC and Mr. President, if he will be true to the process that produced him as the president of this great nation…

The act of oppression with your strength and numbers is sinful in the eye of God almighty who chose where to place man here on earth! “If it’s by man’s making, some of us would have chosen where we would have come from and not get oppressed with where we come from.”

For those of us who are admirers of the democratic qualities of Mr. President, even though we haven’t seen much of that in times of governance with regards to the economy…. We believe he can still write his name in gold by ensuring the right thing is done in Edo state with the APC ticket to the Senatorial District yet to produce governor with the advent of the fouth Republic we are currently enjoying after the the sixteen good years of Edo South and the eight years of Edo North, added to their sixteen years as deputises, with none from Edo Central…

I repeat, again, exclusion of any kind is a prelude to anarchy and anti democratic values.

I am a concerned Edo citizen who writes from the city centre of Abuja. A neighbour to both Mr. President and Senator Adams Oshiomhole…

God bless Mr. President

God bless Nigeria …

God Edo state…
