The United States President Joe Biden has said that three years after George Floyd’s murder had been exposed, the country will recommit to changing hearts and minds as well as laws and policies.
Biden, via his official tweetter handle on Thursday said “George Floyd’s murder exposed for what many Black and Brown communities have long known and experienced.”
“we must make a commitment to ensure that America lives up to its founding promise of fair and impartial justice for all, “he said.
“Today , three years after his murder, let us build on the progress we have made and recommit to changing hearts and minds as well as laws and policies.”
“A brother, a son, a father was taken from the Floyd family – with George’s murder, they lost a piece of their soul.
“We will never forget what happened that day.We will never forget George Floyd’s name.We will never stop taking action in his honor,” President Biden said.
President Biden Comments on the unfortunate murder of the black-american in 2020, was met with mixture of praise and criticism.
While commentators urges the U.S leader to pay attention to people who try to divide the country and his justice attitude with Palestine and Russian people issues, some hailed his courage to announce the remembrance of George Floyd’s death, Thursday.
