The political feud between the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu is taking a different dimensions. What he is experiencing at the moment is what is called a collateral damage.

The battle is now affecting those very close to him.

The first casualty of the dirty fight was his in-law, Sabina Chikere who was in charge of Bendel Insurance Football Club but later redeployed to other ministry.

The latest one is the one where the media crew attached to the embattled deputy governor, Philip Shaibu were singled out and sent out by the security personnel at the Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin, venue of the ongoing 60th anniversary celebration of Midwest Referendum at the Victor Uwaifo Creative.

According to the video making the rounds, the deputy governor was seeing forcing his media crew into the hall.

It was gathered that the media crew of the State Deputy Governor were all at work when the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Andrew Okungbowa, allegedly identified them one after the other before security men of the Governor who physically forced them out of the venue.

It however took the intervention of the deputy governor for his media crew to be allowed in as he was heard saying in the video that he cannot be in an event and his media crew are barred from covering the event where himself is physically present.

It will be recalled that the Deputy Governor suffered similar attack and humiliation in the hands of the security personnel attached to the Governor only yesterday (Sunday), at the 32nd anniversary celebration of the creation of Edo State. This attracted public condemnation
