Chelsea Football Club are now pushing a deal for Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly in a bid to fix their defensive woes after the departure of their top defenders.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Koulibaly has been in the list of the London side since June as the club has now met with the player’s agent and are preparing an opening bid for the Senegalese centre-back.
He said, “Kalidou Koulibaly, revealed as name in Chelsea list in June and still one of the options. New meeting with his agent took place on Monday.
Talks now progressing, with Chelsea ready to submit an opening bid.
Chelsea are pushing to be fast and anticipate other clubs – Nathan Aké deal also in negotiation, while club feels Bayern are leading the race for Matthijs de Ligt as they agreed personal terms.”
