The Trump administration is open to arresting Supreme Court judges if they harbor illegal immigrants, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Leavitt made the statement while addressing a question from Fox News’s Peter Doocy about the position of some judges regarding illegal migrants in the United States.
“You guys arrested a Milwaukee County Circuit judge for allegedly helping illegal immigrants get away.
“As you guys look at other judges, would you ever arrest somebody higher up on the judicial food chain, like a federal judge or even a Supreme Court justice?” The reporter asked.
Responding to the question, The White House Press Secretary said, “administration’s stance is that anyone who breaks the law or obstructs federal law enforcement officials from doing their jobs puts themselves at risk of being prosecuted.”
Leavitt cited the case of a Milwaukee County Circuit judge who allegedly helped an illegal immigrant evade law enforcement, saying it was a clear-cut case of obstruction.
