Though the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament (BOWFT) may have come and gone, one of the melodies in the mouths of all the football fans, spectators and by extension, the citizens of the state is, wow ! What a wonderful commitment to football tournament and its development in the state as they continued to hear the name of Truth Live News (TLN) being mentioned repeatedly at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Recall that Truth Live Media Communications Ltd., owners of Truth Live News, which was one of the co-sponsors of the tournament, gave prizes to Bayelsa Queens goalkeeper Oniyan Okeke as the Best Goalkeeper, Olashade Damilusi of Robo FC as the Top Scorer, and Suliat Abideen the Most Valuable Player prize of the tournament.
More interestingly, the awards were given to players who have demonstrated the uncommon skills in the glare of the over 20 of the Nigerian First Ladies who were beautifully dressed up to watch the spectaculous clash of the titans match in Benin.
To those who have not seen the hardcopies of the Truth Live News Newspapers, they have heard it with their ears and are yearning to get hold of it, if it is just a copy.
So, to the recipients of the various prizes from the TLN, it was a moment that they will never forget in a jiffy as they keep basking in the euphoria of the award and remain very thankful to Truth Live Media Communications Ltd.
