The United States Governmment has announced that it is making proposal to make it a mandatory for all U.S airlines to compensate their passengers with travel voucher when they are the ones to blame for cancellation or delay.
President Joe Biden revealed this via his official tweeter handle.
He said it will not only be mandatory for all U.S. airlines to compensate their passengers with travel vouchers but also with meals, hotels, taxis and rebooking fees.
According to him, “We’re proposing a new rule later this year to make it mandatory for all U.S. airlines to compensate you with meals, hotels, taxis, rebooking fees, and cash miles or travel vouchers when they’re the ones to blame for cancellation or delay,” he said, It matters for hardworking families.
However, some followers in their separate comments, commended the president for and said the idea was a good one.
