In Port Harcourt, the South-South Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Osi Orbih (DSSR) has described the Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike as a true party man, a performer, and someone who is committed to servicing his people.
Chief Orbih made this declaration on Wednesday while flagging off the construction of the Elekahia internal roads within Elekahia area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as monitored by Truth Live News.
Governor Wike has earlier stated that no matter how small the road is, “all the roads in the community must be motorable before leaving office in 2023”.
Describing the people of Elakahia as sincere, peace-loving, straight, and direct, he said: “if they are for you, they are for you and if they are not for you, they are not for you”.
In his address before performing the flag-off, Dan Orbih poured encomium on the governor and his deputy, appreciating the harmonious way the Deputy Governor, Dr. Mrs Ipalibo Gogo Banigo has worked with Gov Wike for almost 8 years, Orbih said; “she is the best Deputy Governor of any state in Nigeria”.
Appreciating the Governor and the people of Rivers state for honoring him to flag off the construction works, Dan Orbih said: “I will not proceed without thanking the good people of Rivers State for giving us Nyesom Wike as Governor in the South-South, for giving Nigeria their son we are all proud of.
“Today in Nigeria, you have become a leading voice in our collective struggle for a better nation where equity and justice reign. You have continued to work even when you have a few months to the end of your administration when others will at this point not, I know that God will be with you to help you to finish well and strong”.
“Your Excellency, let me say that in the past few weeks I have been part of what you have been doing and must say that you are a true party man, on all occasions, you would acknowledge my presence as the National Vice Chairman of the party, South-South, you will acknowledge the state chairman of the party, the only Ambassador we have as state chairman, this shows that you mean well for the PDP, we salute your courage, we salute what you have done for this party.
He further stressed that we might have had our differences as a party, but Gov Wike has always stayed to fight for what is right and what he believes in, saying today in the zone, Gov Wike is a leading light, fighting for what he believes should be for the South-South and the best for Nigeria.
