The third Edition of Uromi Like Minds Initiative Free Medical outreach might have come and gone. Still, memories of the charitable event held on the 22nd November-29th November 2023 will linger on for a long time as both men, women and children were captured in this year’s edition.
A total of one thousand one hundred forty-three (1,143) patients from seven communities within Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, South-South Nigeria, were recipients of the free medical treatment of different ailments.
According to Prince Ken Edenojie, Project Director of the Organisation, the medical team visited Ebho-Ibadin, Ebhoijie, Idigun, Uwalor-Oke, Awo, Eror and Unuwazi Communities for seven days.
He said: “The medical team assembled ULMI’s consultant, Ofure Centre for Peace and Development, from Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital Irrua and ST. Camilus Hospital Uromi. Free medical outreach was conducted in the seven communities with the Esan North East Local Government Area PHC Dr Eric Okosun’s approval.
While speaking to the press, the organisation’s chairman, Mr Sylvester Abumere Ekpen, appreciated the medical team and members of ULMI worldwide for the huge success recorded in this year’s edition and expressed confidence that the next edition will be better.
