Popular social media activist, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan has reacted to a statement by the Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria on the brew between him and popular gospel artist Mercy Chinwo.

In a video seen by Truthlive news on the Instagram page of the activist, he shared his view on the PFN’s intervention.

Earlier, PFN had in the statement titled PFN’s Concern Over The Legal Drama”,;urged Mercy Chinwo to seek out of court settlement with VDM while emphasizing the importance of maintaining a good Christian witness especially when dealing with public controversies.

The body which represents the interest of all Pentecostal churches across Nigeria pointed out the potential impact of the ongoing legal battle on the gospel music industry as well as its leadership.

Furthermore, the fellowship encouraged Mercy Chinwo and her legal team “to approach the issue with humility, caution and a spirit of reconciliation avoiding actions that could further tarnish the image of the church.”

However, despite PFN plea for both parties to “resolve the issue amicably and avoid unnecessary public confrontation”, VDM insisted that the court process must continue adding that he won’t bow to the call for reconciliation.

Giving reasons for his insistence, VDM said that the legal battle will expose oppressors and people that abuse power and influence as well as the judiciary.

VDM berated the gospel artist for “rushing to collect court order for his arrest even though he appeared in court as soon as he was summoned.

The activist who said the PFN’s is intervention is already too late accused the gospel artist of using pastors, EFCC, Judiciary and other influence to oppress the masses.
