The Margaret Ekpo International Airport Security have arrested one Paul Ita, for stealing cassava in the Airport staff quarters’ farm in Calabar.
Ita who was arrested this morning Monday December 26, 2022, with two 50kg bags of cassava, said they were harvested yesterday Sunday. It was reported that he stole them when people were in the Church. Ita introduced himself as a teacher who teaches in a nursery school.
When Truth Live News camera arrived the scene, Ita had been beaten by some of the security men who arrested him. However, he kept telling them that the farm in which he harvested the cassava yesterday, belonged to him, since over a year ago.
As at the time of filing this report, Ita had already been handcuffed by the airport security men and taken away in their vehicle.
