The Labour Party ward 8 Chairman in Ikpoba Okha local government area of Edo state has expressed concern about the state’s People are Democratic Party, PDP’s threat to his life, alleging that the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki and his cronies, are behind this evil scheme.
In recounting his ordeal, he stated that the PDP went to the Labour Party’s Secretariat to remove the signboard. Thereafter he was confronted by armed men emerging from his compound. He claimed he had to flee quickly in order to avoid becoming a victim of their planned attack.
According to him, he was forced to seek refuge at a location for one hour, calling people to see if calm had been restored to the affected area.
In the viral video obtained by Truth Live News, the ward Chairman stated that he can’t be forced to support the PDP because he is an unwavering Labour Party ward Chairman.

“Good evening, Nigerians. Good evening Edo people, Good evening my Ikpoba Okha people.
“As I am talking to you right now, my life is at risk. I am being threatened by the PDP.
“They went to my Secretariat and uprooted the Labour Party signboard. As I was also coming to my house, this evening, men with arms… I don’t even know how they got to my compound, came out … I had to speed off somewhere and remained there for about one hour and started making calls to people to ascertain if the place is calm.
“I don’t know wetin I do to Obaseki, Osarodion Ogie, China moon, Lanky, Eric Osayande. Whatever happens to me…my life is in their hands. No be force to support them. No be force to support PDP. No be force to win HoA election. I am a labour party chairman in my ward and I am Campaigning for my party. I am canvassing for my party. And my party will win.
“If the Governor has done very well, I don’t know why he would be deploying boys to start fighting dirty. I know that this is the handwork of the SSG. If anything happens to me. If I sleep and did not wake up, if I am going out and get attacked, please these people are responsible. I called China moon this evening to tell him what everything that is happening, but he started sending me foolish messages. No problem. I wan see how you wan take win the house of assembly since na by force you wan make everyone support you. Make thunder fire all of you where you all dey. God go punish you na.”
