Nollywood actress and wife to Edo politician, Mercy Johnson Okojie has revealed that she had battled with cancer, had to do a surgery procedure and thereafter she was put on medications for the rest of her life, in order to survive.
MJ as the actress is fondly called, disclosed this on her food show, where she had Veteran actress, Joke Silva, as her guest.
The actress revealed that when the cancer scare came, she had to put heads together with her husband, Prince Odi Okojie, to make a decision because they have young children who she cannot afford to leave.
Mercy revealed that she got a procedure done, where her thyroid was removed and she was placed on medications for the rest of her life. She also added that she must not skip the drugs because there are implications as well as side effects of the drugs.
