Supporters of the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, have planned a one million man march scheduled to happen today October 1 at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos.
Security authorities had stood against the march considering the sentimentality and sensitivity of that venue, as it relates to the blood bath which happened there during the October 20, 2020 EndSars protest.
The matter was presented in court and the judge ruled that the ‘Obidients’should not converge at that venue, but can pass through it to access other locations like Ikoyi, Victoria Island in the state.
To that end, armed policemen were seen this morning, marching towards the toll gate in Lekki, in an apparent show of force against the proposed march.
