A first attempt at group identification by unknown gun men running amok in the South East may have happened after a new video emerged with a group, calling itself Motherland Warriors threatened traditional rulers in Enugu State.

The group in the new video also issued threats at the federal and state governments in the South East, asking, among many things for the release Mazi Namdi Kanu, NMK, and the actualsation of a seperatist state.

The video showed about 10 masked gun men, make threats in heavily accented barely coherent English at federal government, governors of the South East but specifically singling outvtrational rulers in Enugu for threats over sins not mentioned.

“We are motherland Warriors and we are telling the world today to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra in 14 days,” the group Threatened.

Failure to do this, the group warned, “we give you what you want,” the group vowed.

It further went ahead to list names of some individuals like Igwe A.O Ashike, Igwe IK Okechukwu, Michael Ochi and another Igwe Igichi Aziri.

The masked group threatened the individuals saying that they are being watched and will be dealt with.

The armed group asked that federal government vacates their land, “because we want Biafra,” the group said.

Preliminary analysis of the video at the newspaper’s disposal showed a rather rag tag arms wielding group of men with neither military poise nor clear disciplined formation.

Its spokesmen spoke in heavily ascented mishmash of English.
