We Will Place National Interest Above Personal Interest, Chairman, Senate Cmttee On Public Procurement, Sen Okpebholo Assures Nigerians

The chairman of, the Senate Committee on Public Procurement and senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District at the national assembly, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has said that his newly inaugurated committee will discharge its duty diligently within the confines of Nigerian relevant statutes, and global standard of parliamentary process and procedures. 

 

  

This assurance was contained in a statement obtained by Truth Live News, signed by his media and communication aide, Godswill Inegbe and made available to newsmen in Abuja. 

 

  

Okpebholo said moving forward, his Committee will place a premium on the more significant interest of the most outstanding Nigerians, which the parliamentarians represent at the national House of Assembly. 

 

  

The senator, seen as one of the most enterprising senators of the 10th assembly, thanking the national assembly’s leadership for his privilege to serve in that capacity, said that the committee would not betray their trust but live up to their billings. 

 

  

“It is a great honour and special recognition to be named as Chairman of ‘Category A’ Senate Standing Committee. 

 

  

“I am grateful for the confidence reposed on me, and the unique opportunity granted me to serve as a member of the 13 profile Standing Committees of the 10 Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 

 

  

“I, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo (aka) Akpakomiza, wish to seize this moment to reassure President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Distinguished Senator Oshiomhole and the leadership of the 10th Senate, that my Committee (Public Procurement), will discharge its duty diligently within the confines of Nigerian relevant statutes, and global standard of parliamentary process and procedures. 

 

  

“Above all, I averred that my Committee will place a premium on the larger interest of the greatest Nigerians, which the parliamentarians represent at the National House of Assembly.
