New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has shared a message he received from Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho after taking the reins at Old Trafford.
Mourinho, who previously managed Manchester United, offered Amorim some valuable insights about the club.
According to Amorim, Mourinho described Manchester United as a “big club with lovely people.”
Amorim acknowledged that while some things have changed since Mourinho’s tenure, the club’s commitment to excellence remains the same.
Amorim, who will take charge of his first game at Ipswich on Sunday, expressed his determination to restore Manchester United to its former glory.
“This is still the best club in England, and we want to win,” he declared.
The 39-year-old manager replaces Erik ten Hag, who was sacked with the Red Devils sitting in 13th place.
