The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has revealed that he prefers a younger person as vice-presidential candidate.
Obi is in search for his running mate since emerging the standard- bearer of the Labour Party with Doyin Okupe serving as a placeholder vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
Speaking on Wednesday while featuring on Arise TV Morning Show monitored by truthlive.net, Obi noted that he prefers a younger person who has something to offer to complement his ticket.
He added than recycling old hands who had been in the government before now would not help the country.
Earlier, Okupe had said that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential flagbearer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is limited to Kano state.
According to Okupe, Kwankwaso
doesn’t have the capacity to fulfill the aspirations of youths on national development.
Okupe also said that talks on an alliance between Labour Party and the NNPP are dead.
