The Peoples Democratic Party’s Lagos State gubernatorial candidate, AbdulAzeez Adeniran, commonly known as Jandor, has filed an appeal against the judgment of the election petitions tribunal that upheld Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s election under the All Progressives Congress.
In a comprehensive 34-ground notice of appeal submitted on Friday, Jandor expressed his dissatisfaction with what he described as a “miscarriage of laws” in the tribunal’s judgment. He has requested that the Court of Appeal overturn the tribunal’s decision.
One of the key arguments presented in the notice of appeal was that the tribunal made legal errors and reached a flawed conclusion when it dismissed his petition aimed at challenging the qualifications of Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Obafemi Hamzat, as the victors of the March 18 governorship election in the state.
This information was conveyed in a statement on Friday, bearing the signature of Gbenga Ogunleye, the Head of Media and Communications for the Jandor4Governor Campaign Organization.
