At least no fewer than items worth millions of naira were donated to the people of Southern Afaha/Adat Ifang Ward 13 in Ukanafun LGA, Akwa Ibom state, South South Nigeria.
The Councilor representing the Southern Afaha/Adat Ifang Ward 13, Hon. King Sunday James, made the donation as way of giving back to the society.
Truth Live Newspapers learned that not less than 150 constituents were beneficiaries of the various work tools which were not limited to barbing kits, generators, vulcanizing equipment, mobile phones, wrappers and financial assistance.
Apart from thanking the people for entrusting the mandate to him, Hon James, said he was coming back to give an accurate account of how the journey has been as well as given back dividends of democracy.
While paying homage to the Ward’s Political leader, Mr Census Ekpu, and other major stakeholders including the traditional Chiefs, women and youths, James charged beneficiaries of the items to make judicious use of them so as to add value to their lives, families and society.
With a gut feeling of satisfaction the Ward stakeholders thanked Hon James for standing tall and making them proud via his rich, consistent account of stewardship.
As they scored his performance high, the Chiefs described the feat as not only one of the best but a benchmark to be considered by whoever wishes to become a councilor in the nearest future.
Neither did the outpour of commendations ends with the PDP stakeholders nor the Chiefs but got the admiration of the opposition, party former Secretary of Council, State House of Assembly candidate of the APC, and now SSA to the Senate President – Hon. Ubokobong Umoh who couldn’t help but also described the donor as the very best among equal that ever served the Ward as Councilor.
While suing for unity of purpose and peace among the people, he reiterated party’s belief in the ideal of zoning, as the panacea for peace and in line with the ARISE blueprint.
