The World Economic Forum (WEF) will hold its annual Sustainable Development Impact Meetings (SDIM25) in New York from 22–26 September, coinciding with the UN General Assembly High-Level Week.
The event gathers global political, business and civil-society leaders to accelerate progress on the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, at a time when the UN marks 80 years of existence and only five years remain to meet the 2030 targets.
According to the UN’s 2025 SDG Report, only 35% of goals are on track, nearly half are advancing too slowly, and 18% are in reverse, with over 800 million people still in extreme poverty.
