World War II Veteran, Capt Obaseki Felicitates Oba Of Benin On Igue Festival Celebration

The direct descendant of World War II veteran and a recipient of World War II Medals of Honour, Capt. Ededuna Walter Obaseki, has felicitated with the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II on the celebration of the annual Igue Festival

A felicitation message by Mercy Ededuna Obaseki on behalf of the direct descendant of World War II veteran and a British Administrator in the British Nigeria Colonial Government, greeted the Benin Monarch for upholding the cultural values of the great Benin Kingdom.

“On the joyous occasion of this year’s Igue festival, we extend heartfelt felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin.

“In the spirit of the season, we pray for continued peace, progress and prosperity for all Edo people. Iselogbe!!! Oba gha to kpere ise!

“We wish you many more celebrations in the land of the living. May your reign bring forth bountiful blessings, prosperity and progress to all of us. Obugie our Oba, Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year. Iselogbe!!! Oba gha to kpere ise!” the message said.

The descendant of the World War II veteran once more reminded the Oba and pleaded to him to help champion the course for the payment of their late father’s entitlements.
