Sunday Igboho has regained his freedom in Benin Republic after approximately two years of house arrest and detention, and he is now on his way to Germany to reunite with his family. This significant development was confirmed by Professor Banji Akintoye, the leader of the Yoruba nation group.

Igboho stated that he has met all the legal conditions required for his bail, allowing him the freedom to return to Nigeria or travel to any country of his choice. He expressed his readiness to return to his home country, Nigeria, in the near future.

Igboho took to Facebook to release a video expressing his gratitude to all those who supported him during his challenging time in Benin and highlighted key individuals, including Professor Banji Akintoye, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Deputy Chairman of Oyo State Council of Obas Oba Francis Olushola Alao, Kabiesi Oba Topspin o ni Bariga of Bariga, Oba Tejuoso, Oni Kenta of Orile Kenta, Olugbo of Ugbo kingdom Oba Fredrick Akinruntan Obateru, and other Yoruba monarchs for their unwavering support during his stay in Cotonou.

This development marks a turning point in the journey of Sunday Igboho’s activism, as he regains his freedom and plans to return to Nigeria or Germany, ending his period of detention and house arrest in Benin Republic. The public are unsure if he will continue with his quest for a Yoruba nation.
