2023: Cultists Are Not Spirits, We Will Win Elections-Onor

The People Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate senator Sandy Ojang Onor of Cross River State, Nigeria South south region, has called on the electorates not to be intimidated by cultists or by the Police come 2023 general elections.

The Governor-in-waiting (as he is popularly referred to lately), gave the call in a meeting with the manufacturing Association of Nigeria (MAN), Calabar Chamber of Commerce, the artisans, tailors, mechanics, market women, keke owners and riders, taxi drivers, tipper association, and other traders in Calabar.

Onor who was on hand with his running mate, Lady Emmana Duke Armawhe, and received by massive audience who erupted in excitement when he stood to speak, Called on the electorates not to be intimidated, insisting that the Police are paid to protect the people and not to intimidate them.

Senator Onor said, “cultists are not spirit, stand up to them, we will win the the elections and we will change the story of Cross river state because God is with us.”

He dislike politics of no truth when he said “I like politics of truth, Hit the nail on the head. Our greatest problem as a state is lack of courage. Our tax system has been bastardized, our internally generated revenue has been personalized but we don’t say it as it is.We moan, we complain and we murmur.”

Professor Onor, further said that he knows what proper governance means to rural people and small scale businesses. Hence,the hope that come 2023 general elections, PDP will win the elections and it will change the story of Cross River State because God is always on the side of truth.” He stated.

Speaking about the unwillingness attitude of Government to follow things through with policies.Mrs Emmana Amarwe pointed out that lack of the will to follow through with its own policies was the reason why private businesses are suffering.

The deputy Governorship candidate said, “Our access to the ocean, our mineral endowments and tourism potential are our sure bet for prosperity if well harnessed. We are prepared to do things differently. We will listen to you and we will do your wish”.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Calabar Chamber of Commerce,Ken Asim Ita has decried the unfavourable business environment which according to him, it has not given them access to finance, access to markets, but strangulating multiple taxation and poor policies.

Truth Live News learnt that, the representative of non bank micro finance association, Pastor Theodore Ebuta who commended the Governorship candidate Senator Sandy Ojang Onor with his Deputy Mrs Emmana Amahwe for interacting with the business community and the president of Timber Dealers Association, and clan head of Uyangha, Chief Effiong Ewa Ebani, frowned at the forestry Commission for failing in it’s duty to control the wood business by allowing all kinds of people to invade the forest in Cross River State.
