The Peoples Democratic Party has said that the 2027 general elections will be a contest between President Bola Tinubu and the living conditions of Nigerians.
The PDP Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, stated that the election will not be about the number of governors or leaders a party has, but about the ordinary man’s suffering under the current administration.
Damagum urged Nigerians to close ranks and rescue themselves from the hardship inflicted by the current government.
He also lamented the defection of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa from the PDP to the APC, describing it as sad and unfortunate.
The PDP boss noted that the party had been too magnanimous to Delta State and did not deserve the political treatment it received through the defection.
