The School of Post Graduate Studies (SPGS), Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has on Wednesday matriculated 784 students to marked its 4th Matriculation ceremony held at the Professor Lawal Abdu Saulawa Auditorium Take Off Campus.
As contained in a statement made available to the press by the University’s Public Relations Officer Habibu Umar Aminu, the matriculated students are for the 2020/2021 academic session.
According to Mr Habibu, the school received a total of 1488 application of which 784 were admitted into over 200 programmes from Post Graduate Diploma, Professional and Academic Masters to Doctorate Degree. This year’s intake represents about 34 percent increase over that of 2019/2020 academic session.
Speaking at the occasion, The University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi said the university is committed to sustaining its motto of ‘’ Not a day Longer’ for students in as much they uphold the end of their bargain of completing all academic works.
He said, FUDMA is an ICT driven school equipped with an effective E-library saying that ‘’I enjoined you to adequately utilised it maximally’’
‘’the PG school started in 2017 with less 30 programmes, presently the school is running over 200 programmes and with over 1,700 students at present’’ he said.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Post Graduate school, Prof. Muhammed Umar Sanda said the school is up and doing to support all the students to achieved their desired goal without compromise to standards of teaching and learning.
He said the school was able to achieve all this with unflinching supports from the Vice chancellor and urged all to continue to support him in his drive to boost teaching and learning at the university
