Tragedy has hit the Nigerian music industry following the death of a renowned Afrofuji star Afeez Adeshina, fondly known as Destiny Boy.
He died at the age of 22.
The news of his death was confirmed on Sunday when a video of his lifeless body surfaced online.
As of the time of filling this report, the deceased body was taken to Abeokuta in Ogun State for burial.
The singer rose to fame in 2019 after his Fuji cover of “If” Davido’s hit song.
Destiny Boy, a fast-rising star in the Nigerian music scene, had made headlines in recent months.
In November 2024, he welcomed his first child at the age of 20, and earlier in March 2024, he reportedly proposed to his lover with a diamond ring said to be worth millions of naira.
