The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise and adjusted key dates for its internal activities, as part of resolutions reached at the party’s 183rd National Working Committee (NWC) meeting.
In a statement issued on Friday, January 30, 2026, by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the meeting was held at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, where the NWC approved several strategic decisions aimed at deepening participation and ensuring orderly party processes.
According to the statement, the electronic membership registration, earlier scheduled to end on January 31, 2026, has now been extended to February 8, 2026. The extension, the party explained, followed requests from stakeholders and is intended to allow more supporters and members to register and validate their membership on the party’s digital platform.
“The electronic membership registration exercise has been extended from 31st January 2026 to 8th February 2026, following requests from Party stakeholders. This extension is to enable more supporters and members to register and validate their membership,” the statement noted.
The APC also announced a new date for its Ward Congresses, which will now take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while the party’s National Convention has been rescheduled for March 27–28, 2026.
However, the party disclosed that Osun State, Ekiti State, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will be excluded from the scheduled congresses due to impending elections. Rivers State was also excluded, owing to the subsisting tenure of the current state executive committees.
In addition, the NWC confirmed that a National Convention Planning Committee has been duly constituted, assuring members that further details regarding the adjusted congress timetable, schedule of activities, and the composition of the planning committee will be communicated in due course.
