Governor Abdullahi Sule has strongly condemned the recent killing of several farmers in Keana Chiefdom, Keana Local Government Area, labeling it a “disturbing act of violence against innocent citizens” that threatens the state’s peace and security.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Ibrahim Addra, Sule expressed deep sorrow over the attack and directed security agencies to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation to identify and prosecute the perpetrators.
The governor extended heartfelt sympathies to the affected families and the Keana community, reaffirming the government’s commitment to protecting all residents. “Our resolve to safeguard every resident, irrespective of community or background, remains firm. We will continue to work closely with security agencies and community leaders to ensure lasting peace across Nasarawa State,” Sule stated.
Sule also called for calm among residents, encouraging them to provide credible information to aid security efforts in apprehending those responsible.
The state government pledged to closely monitor the situation and bolster measures to prevent future violence in the region.
