A viral video showing Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, giving a foot massage to a woman aboard a private jet has sparked widespread backlash on social media, coming days after his controversial remark that “food is now too cheap in Nigeria.”
The video, which began circulating on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, triggered intense criticism from Nigerians who described the scene as insensitive and out of touch with the harsh economic realities facing millions of citizens. Many users contrasted the senator’s apparent luxury lifestyle with the rising cost of living, food inflation, and widespread hardship across the country.
Reacting to the video, Senator Idris Haruna described the incident as “shocking and deeply disappointing,” HERE, stressing that public officials must lead by example, especially at a time when many Nigerians are struggling to afford basic necessities.
