The Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bwari Area Council has stepped down ahead of the forthcoming Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, throwing his weight behind the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Julius Adamu, who was the PDP flagbearer in Bwari, announced his withdrawal from the race and declared support for the APC candidate, Joshua Musa Ishaku.
The development has sparked widespread reactions within political circles in the FCT, with party supporters expressing surprise over the unexpected realignment just days to the polls.
