Ahead of the May 29, 2023 inauguration for the President-elect and Governors-elect of some states, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba has posted a new Commissioner of Police, to Cross River State.
He is CP Gyogo Augustine Grimah.
Until his posting to replace CP Sule Baralabe, CP Grimah was said to be in charged of the Department of Finance and Administration ICT, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Thursday said CP Grimah will be replaced by CP Okon Okon Effiong at Force Headquarters, Abuja.
He says the posting is with “immediate effect.”
According to him, CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka is coming to replace CP Effiong at Rivers State Command.
While CP Zachariah A. Fera had been posted to the Force Criminal Investigation, FCID Annex, Enugu.
In March 2023, CP Grimah was promoted to the rank of CP and had been serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations at the Ekiti State command for more than two years.
