The Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have announced that physical and credential screening for prospective constables will start on March 9.
PSC spokesman Torty Kalu said in a statement that the exercise would run until April 18 and take place across the country.
He said that applicants who successfully completed the online registration are advised to log in to the recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng.
“This is to check their status and print the following documents which they must present at the screening venue on the date and time indicated in their invitation slip.
“The documents are guarantors form, application submission slip, invitation slip, credentials screening form and physical screening form,” he said.
Mr Kalu added that applicants must present the following at the screening venues:
Original National Identity Number (NIN) card or printout, O’Level certificates (GCE/SSCE), Birth certificate or age declaration, LGA/State of origin certificate,
Trade test/certificate (for specialists), Completed guarantors’ forms with photocopies and passports of referees.
Kalu said applicants must appear at the various screening venues wearing white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.
He added that the screening exercise would take place at designated locations within each state/FCT as indicated on the invitation printout.
He also said that the recruitment exercise was absolutely free of charge without any pecuniary obligation.
Quoting the PSC chairman, Hashimu Argungu, he emphasis that the recruitment process is free of charge and will uphold transparency and accountability.
He warned applicants to be vigilant against online scams and impostors, stressing that anyone attempting to defraud candidates would face arrest and prosecution.
The exercise will be conducted at designated locations in each state and the Federal Capital Territory, as indicated on applicants’ invitation slips.
