Highlighting the institution’s remarkable growth, he noted, “Our student population has risen from 5,000 to 12,000 over the past few years, while the number of faculties has grown from three to seven.”
Prof. Temi Ologunorisa stressed OAUSTECH’s dedication to research, teaching, and community engagement, pointing to collaborations with global institutions such as the University of Missouri, Morgan State University, and the Caribbean Maritime University. He added “the convocation lecture will be delivered by Professor Andrew Spencer of Caribbean Maritime University, who will share lessons from the Caribbean blue economy and how Nigeria can benefit”.
On the institution’s academic impact, he stated, “Many of our graduates now proceed directly from undergraduate studies into PhD programmes abroad, and several of our staff have received international offers. This demonstrates the high quality of scholarship we are fostering at OAUSTECH.”
