I Will Step Aside If Tinubu Fails To Win 2027 Election, Says Okpebholo

The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has vowed to step aside the governor of the state if President Bola Tinubu fails to win the 2027 general elections.

Truth Live News Media reports that Okpebholo made the boast when he appeared in an interview with African Independent Television (AIT).

He listed the state’s development projects and stated that Edo people will vote for Tinubu in 2027.

“Edo people have not even thanked Tinubu. How they will thank him is through their votes”.

The various projects across the state are the things that will speak for Tinubu and he will win here. Bet me, if he doesn’t win, I will resign as governor, he said.

The governor said he learnt his political skills from the late Board of Trustee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Tony Aneni adding that, that is the method he is applying to help Tinubu secure the state come 2027.

“There’s no election here for him. I’m a politician, who under-studied Chief Aneni. My style of politics is not thuggery but grassroots”, Okpebholo said.
