The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Senator Dino Melaye, has pledged to investigate the actions of previous administrations in the state if he wins the upcoming election.
The former federal lawmaker said this during an interview on Channels TV on Tuesday.
According to him, previous leaders in the state, including the incumbent Governor, Yahaya Bello, have robbed citizens of their common resources.
He further revealed that the PDP is forming alliances with other political parties to overthrow the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State and emphasized that their objective is not just about replacing Yahaya Bello but also about addressing the mismanagement of public funds and recovering stolen assets.
In his words, “All the injustices done to Kogi State will be probed. It is not just about Yahaya Bello. It is about the mismanagement of our common resources. All injustices done to the state will not only be robbed, but all the stolen monies will be recovered.
“There is going to be a lot of collaborations, even with other political parties. Our common resolution was that the APC must vacate the government house.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is scheduled to hold gubernatorial elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states on November 11.
