Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Mexico, Reno Omokri who is famous for promoting Nigerian outfits on social media, said he is attempting to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, to hoist Nigeria’s flag.
Mount Kilimanjaro is located in Tanzania and it stands at 19,341 ft (5,895 m), making it the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain above sea level in the world.
Ambassador-designate revealed this in his Facebook post on Monday.
Omokri also shared a photo of himself donning a Nigerian jersey and hoisting the nation’s flag with the popular mountain in the background.
His words, “What you see behind me is the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
“It is so hard to breath due to low oxygen levels. I’ve been climbing for three days, and I may get there tomorrow to hoist Nigeria’s flag, God sparing my life at the summit”.
